Sunshine, Sadness and Hope

Our tree skirt is finished, the picture is less than perfect as the reindeer names are not clear on one of the white fabrics, I'm tickled with the results and I love it.  The pattern is from Buggy Barn, I'd forgotten just how fun those crazy patterns of theirs are to work with.

  The sun is shining today which is a rare occurance for us here at the foot of the mountains in the winter months, it makes the snow sparkle and puts a smile on my face all the while my heart is heavy with sympathy and full of prayers for the families who have suffered a horrendous tragedy in Conneticut.  While I recognize that there is evil in our world, I have faith that the goodness in people will continue to triumph.
